Can we bring our animals to events?
Although we love dogs and other pets, we do not allow them at the same events as our donkeys. Our donkeys are very well trained and friendly, but like any other animal, they have their own minds.They are happy to pose with you and your guests for photos, but we strongly prefer to have them be the only animal present to protect our animals and yours.
Do you have insurance?
Yes, we are fully insured!
How do I book an event?
Please visit our Contact page, and send us an email! It is important for us to learn about what you are looking for to make your event or day more special. We like to work individually with each request to make it the best for you!
What can we expect?
We will show up an hour prior to designated start time, dressed appropriately. We have a variety of reusable floral and greenery in different colors to match your special day. We can also work with your florist to create something that matches your wedding decor.
Can you share more about pricing?
We would love to be part of your special event. Pricing depends on the type of event, duration and location. Please send us an email so we can work out a pricing package that works for you!
Are deposits required and do you provide refunds?
Once we establish your booking, we will provide you with a contract that details this information! We do require a 50% non-refundable deposit which is due upon booking and the remaining balance is to be paid 30 days proper to your event date. Refunds are only available if Swartwood Farm has to cancel due to weather or donkey illness.
Do the donkeys make a mess?
Farm animals naturally create a mess! Our donkeys are outfitted with “bum bags” some people do not like these in their photos, so you also have the option of not using them. We will have someone ready for cleanup right behind them. We cannot guarantee they won’t urinate so we prefer grass footing event settings but know this cannot always be done. We can assure you that we will clean up after our loved animals!
What type of events do you do?
We are happy to do all sorts of events: birthday parties, festivals, fairs, and weddings. Our mini donkeys can also beer burro! Please reach out to us to learn more.
What is a beer burro?
Our mini donkeys, led by a handler, can roam your event to serve you your drinks of choice for a two hour period. Like any other animal, our donkeys will need rest after all of their hard work. Please note, we do not sell or provide beverages. If you are interested in having our donkeys beer burro at your event, please send us an email.
